MDM - Don't Be Shy Interactive Story

Role: Narrative Designer

The nature of life as an introvert is explored in Introvertuosity, a visual interactive story that lets you navigate through a busy social scene, where you must decide on whether to play it safe, or take risks and put yourself out there to either make some new friends or find unexpected love. Set in a contemporary house party at night, Introvertuosity takes a closer look at what it’s like to be an introvert and how unique their perception of the world might be with elements of comedy and drama-romance sprinkled throughout the story.

As you make your way through the party, choices will be presented to you on who to talk to and how you might want to engage with them in a conversation. However, your choices might be limited as you struggle to find comfort in a crowded environment full of strangers. And just when you think things couldn’t get more awkward, your only friend in the party, Frank, stole your car keys to make sure that you stay at the party. Herein, begins your uneasy quest to find Frank and survive the party.

Your search to find Frank begins in the living room where you start to see a handful of people that you can have conversations with. This situation leaves you with no choice other than to start talking with people so that you can get clues of where Frank might be. To fight off the nerves and get more energy, you will also get the option to consume beer. But as other decisions you’ve made in the party, this decision also impacts on what will happen to you at the end of the night.
